Accessories can be your best friend when styling in-between hair. Your hair might be too short to pull into a ponytail, but there are other hair accessories that can work wonders on short hair.

One of the best accessories is the basic bobby-pin. These come in many stylish varieties. For example, you can find them with attachments such as sparkly butterflies or in a variety of colors. The traditional bobby-pins are still available if you want a more natural approach. You can use these pins to tuck hair up at the sides or in the back. Use the smaller bobby-pins to sweep short hair up completely.

The butterfly clip, which is available in many different sizes, is another option. The shorter your hair, the smaller the clip. Use these clips to sweep hair off your face. They too are found in a variety of colors and styles. They are easy to use and won't break your hair.

Rhianna, Born in Barbados, shading her soulful sounds with a reggae touch, Rhianna has had an incredible series of hits in the US. She also works on a regular basis as a fashion designer, and this no doubt helps to explain the perfection of her new inverted bob hairdo unveiled at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards several months ago.

Rhianna has definitely got a great eye for the interplay of angles and curves, the flow of softer tresses and the eye-catching points of shorter, straighter hairdos. She has worn just about every style there is at one time or another, but favors the shorter haircuts in general.

Rihanna seemed to have settled on a straight and short look with a spike touch here and there in 2006, but that turned out to be a phase. She then attended several formal events with light brown tresses worthy of a 1940’s movie star, and also mixed several curly updos into her repertoire at this time. Even so, Rhianna’s classical chin and nose always respond well to short looks, and she came up with the inverted bob to make use of these great features.

Bob Hairstyle

The bob hairstyle originally became popular among women in the 1920s. The short cut was a symbol of the flappers, women who defined themselves by new freedoms. As with most fashions, though, the bob eventually went out of style. It popped again for a brief time in the 1960s, but did not regain widespread popularity until very recently.

Last year, stars like Victoria Beckham started cropping their hair short, and soon the bob was back. Today, it is one of the hottest trends and can be seen on women of all ages. Although the classic, blunt cut is still seen, there are also many new, modern variations on the bob. Most notably, there is the “pob,” which is essentially an inverted bob.

The hair in the front hangs longer than those in the back creating a distinctive angled look. Another hot trend is the cropped bob, which is a shorter take on the traditional cut. This daring style was recently adopted by starlet Katie Holmes, which helped it make a big splash on the fashion scene.

Bobs layers are also in style and add some volume to the ‘do. Razored ends are also a great way to add some edgy boldness to a classic bob.
