I have used the Silk'n twice thus far with my second treatment being two days ago. The first time you use the machine the manufacturer sets the strength setting on level one for the first 50 pulses, up to level three for the next 200 pulses and after up to the highest setting of five. I've used the device on my chest, abdomen and some personal areas twice and have used 300 pulses. To those who have stated in other reviews that it takes a whole bulb (which supplies 750 pulses before needing replacement) to do your arms or what not I have to say that I believe they are highly exaggerating.
The best part so far is that there is no pain, which is music to the ears of those who have had professional laser treatments done. A "slight rubber band snap" is WAY understated. They should tell you that it feels like someone stabbing you with about 5 small needles repeatedly. The Silk'n on level one felt like nothing at all. On level three it felt like a short burst of slight heat. At level five it actually did feel like a rubber band snap, but a true description of that. After my first treatment I did see some hair fall out particularly on my chest
